Chiapas, located in the south of Mexico, offers not only stunning beauty but also warm, kind people who will enrich your life! This mission journey will give you opportunities for church-to-church relationships as we serve God’s Kingdom together.
The Baptist association in the south of Mexico, Chiapas has over 160 churches + missions, yet many areas still lack a Christian presence, highlighting the need for church planting, discipleship and practical ministries. Many churches could greatly benefit from partnerships to become more mission-focused and united.
We’ve seen a strong response to various ministries in communities where local churches are active, with many people praying to receive Christ. Mexico offers a unique opportunity for volunteers to reach towns, neighborhoods, private schools, and public schools with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Gospel Challenges and Opportunities
- Violence & Drug Influence: Violence and drug culture impact both and the church. The church in Mexico urgently needs support and prayer to navigate this difficult environment.
- Youth Outreach: Reaching youth with the Gospel can steer them away from violence and crime, positively transforming their lives and communities.
- Catholic Culture: Mexicoโs strong Catholic tradition often emphasizes rituals over the Gospel, but this creates an opportunity for believers to partner with local churches in sharing Jesus.
- Community Engagement: Activities like food distribution, medical clinics, and street events for kids help the church break down barriers and build deeper relationships with the community.
